Welcome to GDN 2012!

The 12th international annual meeting of the Group Decision and Negotiation conference, GDN2012, will take place in Recife, Brazil, from May 20 to 24, 2012. This joint conference of the INFORMS section on Group Decision and Negotiation (GDN), the EURO Working Group on Decision and Negotiation Support, and the EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems provides a forum for those working in the field, bringing together researchers from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

GDN series of conferences have provided a stimulating environment for the dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of group decision and negotiation, allowing for intense discussions among participants and the exchange of ideas and critical comments for further improvement.

The conference will be held in the Golden Tulip Hotel, Recife-Pernambuco, Brazil and is supported by Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and by Center for Decision Systems and Information Development (CDSID).

The venue for GDN2012 is the Golden Tulip Hotel, located in Boa Viagem Beach, near many restaurants and shopping mall.

The Golden Tulip Hotel is just a 15 minutes drive from Guararapes International Airport and 10 minutes drive from downtown. It has easy access to Recife Downtown and Olinda (30 minutes drive from the historic center of Olinda).		   Foreign participants are urged to contact the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate in their home country as soon as possible to determine their particular visa requirements and to initiate the application process well in advance of their departure date.
