GDN 2012 | An International Meeting on Group Decision and Negotiation
Recife, Brazil, 20 - 24 May, 2012
Doctoral Consortium
Special Event: Doctoral Consortium

Researchers working toward a Ph.D. are invited to submit proposals for the Doctoral Consortium of the 12th annual Group Decision and Negotiation conference in Recife, Brazil. This event provides a forum for people who have begun or are about to begin their doctoral dissertations to present their work to peers and senior academics, and so gain valuable insights about their research direction. The participants in the consortium frequently forge long-term working relationships with colleagues from around the world. Doctoral Consortium has no fee and is open to all GDN 2012 participants.

Prospective participants, insofar as possible, should submit a paper of no more than 6,000 words that gives an overview of their research, including the following: problem statement, research question(s), literature review, theoretical/technical model or framework, research method, preliminary findings, and future plans. The Doctoral Consortium participants will present and discuss their dissertation research progress with other students and faculty. Also, consortium participants will receive feedback and suggestions regarding their research in face-to-face meetings with the Doctoral Consortium chairs and other experienced researchers.
