Water Resources Planning and Management
The Water Resources Planning and Management sector conducts studies and develops information and decision-making system models to provide structured support for decision-making processes involving water availability, demand, conflicts over water use, and methodologies for mitigating, remediating, and combating the degradation of river basins. Its activities also focus on evaluating strategies for water use and conservation in urban areas, seeking to provide appropriate and environmentally sustainable solutions. The sector develops practical and theoretical knowledge in modern techniques for group decision-making and negotiation, aiming to improve and expand social participation in decision-making processes and to generate more efficient participatory procedures.
